Baking away passion - Choc-O-Lock Culinary Art.

Every one has a passion; explored or unexplored. Your passion turns to be your career only when you have exploited it completely and choose to overcome the obstacles on your way. Meet Pooja Lakhotia, founder of Choco-O-Lock Culinary Art, who chose to make her passion- the career she aspires. It's an interesting journey about how she worked out her routine and chose to train people in vegetarian confectioneries, making it her as a career - she loved!

About the founder:

For Pooja, this passion began right when she was in grade 6. She used to bake cakes back then at home. "In my school days I used to save lots of newspaper cuttings for the recipes and Sunday was the day for experiments" says Pooja.  Her passion took shape almost six years back when she started doing it professionally.

Pooja Lakhotia- Founder.

Being a mother of a 4 year old kid and managing her workshops isn't an easy job. Yet she never comprises on either of her responsibilities and says " There is no single track found by a mother to manage everything. I just try to balance both the things together. Sometimes both of us, me and my little one bake together, She enjoys it thoroughly."

Initially she started as a chocolatier as her brother-in-law had suggested her. She got to learn the basics of chocolates from a workshop held by Nirali cookery in Hyderabad. Hence, she started making chocolates and chocolate bouquets on orders. To grow her skills more she used the internet, choosing the path of self-learning. Later on she chose to train people in the same as it helped her discover more in the world of confectioneries. Hence, Choc-O-Lock turned into Choco-O-Lock culinary art. She gets all the support from her husband too, who wanted her to be busy doing something she enjoys and brings out her creativity.

A Practical workshop.

When we asked her about how her journey has been so far, she says "My journey has not been very long, yet it has been a very interesting and modulated." She aspires to open a finishing school in future.

Her creativity and delicious recipes would give one lip smacking snacks and sweets.

She followed her heart, come what may, she enjoys undertaking these workshops and never gave up on it.
